SAFE is pleased to announce that it is now accepting applications for the 2020-21 Energy Security Fellows Program.
Now in its sixth year, the SAFE Fellows Program provides the next generation of energy and national security professionals with access to high-level programming and networking opportunities designed to connect individuals who are passionate about advancing a national conversation on the future of American energy security.
We look for candidates who are professionally connected to the issue of oil dependence, have excellent analytical skills and have demonstrated professional leadership in matters pertaining to energy, foreign policy, or national security.
The SAFE Fellows Program consists of a series of monthly, Washington, D.C.-based dinner discussions on energy security policy, approaching the topic through the lens of economic and national security.
These intimate, off-the-record events take the form of roundtable discussions, side-by-side with VIP guests, including:
• Members of SAFE’s Energy Security Leadership Council, co-chaired by Adam Goldstein, the Global Chair of the Cruise Lines International Association and former Vice Chair of Royal Caribbean Cruises, Ltd, and General James T. Conway (Ret.), 34th Commandant of the U.S. Marine Corps.
• Members of SAFE’s Commission on Energy and Geopolitics, co-chaired by Admiral Dennis C. Blair (Ret.), former Director of National Intelligence, and General Michael W. Hagee (Ret.), 33rd Commandant of the U.S. Marine Corps.
• Current and former members of Congress, ambassadors, and other key public officials.
In recent months, we have adapted to the current situation by continuing this programming through online seminars and video calls.
Fellows will also be asked to submit one article or piece to be published in The Fuse. The Energy Security Fellows Program is a one-year program, and upon completion, participants will be invited to participate in alumni programming, including invitations to private briefings, events, and other opportunities.
