Several groups — including the American Critical Minerals Association, the Battery Materials & Technology Coalition, Clean Energy for America, the Conservative Energy Network, Impact Capital Managers, Securing America’s Future Energy and the Solar Energy Industries Association — fired off a new letter Monday calling for changes to the House bill. SAFE is also running an ad campaign.
While a handful of Senate Republicans have expressed interest in amending the House’s tax credit provisions, it’s an open question of how far they will go, especially when conservatives have threatened to oppose final legislation that preserves more of the climate law.
The Senate Finance Committee is aiming to release a new version of the budget reconciliation megabill’s tax section this
week, though deliberations and intense lobbying may delay that timeline.
