“The recent findings from the Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party expose broadly suspected abuses in an opaque and impenetrable mineral and battery supply chain. The seriousness of these findings reflects the importance of domestic efforts to incentivize domestic battery manufacturing and build up higher integrity mineral feedstocks with allies. Batteries are an economic imperative. Let’s not lose the progress we’ve made on reshoring advanced manufacturing and development of these vital technologies.”
