COALITION FOR REIMAGINED MOBILITY

Moving People and Goods With Safe, Secure, Energy-Resilient Technology

SAFE’s Coalition for Reimagined Mobility (ReMo) works at the intersection of transportation, energy, and emerging technologies to advocate for a globally competitive and connected transportation system. ReMo’s work educates and informs the public about how the U.S. can lead the world in deploying AI and advanced technologies that create a safer, more secure, and efficient transportation system—a responsible system that leverages alternative energy sources to power it.

Areas of Impact

  • AI-Enabled Transportation Deployment for Energy and National Security: Addressing structural barriers preventing AI and autonomous transportation technologies from scaling.
  • Secure Advanced Technology Supply Chains for a Competitive Transportation System: Ensuring physical and digital assets are protected from adversarial attacks across surface, air and maritime assets.
  • Accelerate Advanced Dual-Use Mobility Applications for Faster Commercial Adoption: Scaling secure, domestic dual-use platforms to speed commercial adoption of trusted advanced technologies.
  • Scale Data and Digital Infrastructure to Strengthen U.S. Competitiveness: Building transportation’s digital backbone—enabling transparency, accountability, privacy, and clear safety and liability rules.

Activities and Engagement

  • Research and Policy Translation: Produce evidence-based research to accelerate scalable, secure technology deployment across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Public Education and Engagement: Elevate understanding of the benefits, risks, and opportunities of advanced transportation technology for communities and individuals.
  • Bipartisan Thought Leadership: Engage and educate federal policymakers and officials to shape informed and technology-forward transportation policy.

“This is not a government group. It is not an industry group. It is a team built by a nonprofit with a history of collaborative projects that focus on energy and transportation policy…By utilizing experience, research, the best knowledge available and the influence of powerful players who represent all interests, they hope to persuade policymakers to move forward…”
