Long Lam

AAAS Science and Technology Policy Fellow, Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense—Energy, Installations, and Environment

Dr. Long Lam is currently serving as an AAAS Science and Technology Policy Fellow in the Department of Defense, where he supports agency’s the Energy Resilience Initiatives through coordinating and integrating installation energy strategies and policies. Most recently, he served as a IEEE Congressional Fellow in the Office of Senator Merkley, spearheading legislative efforts to maintain America’s lead in advanced energy technologies in the electricity and transportation sectors.

Previously, Long conducted research on China’s renewable energy industry and energy policy as part of his dual Ph.D. program in Engineering and Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University and Catholic Lisbon School of Business. He is an alumnus of the Clean Energy Leadership Institute.
