Investments and Origination, Glencore
Hunter focuses on investments and origination for the Americas in the Oil Department at Glencore, an Anglo-Swiss commodities trading company. Hunter’s interest in global energy/commodity resources arose from experiencing the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and Fukushima incident aftermath while in Tokyo as an investment banking analyst at Citigroup. He has pursued this interest professionally at Glencore since 2014, with previous stints in vessel tracking/fundamental analysis, risk management, marine terminals, and structured finance/M&A. Hunter is a board member of International Student Conferences, an Associate Member of the Economic Club of New York, and a Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He holds an AB from Harvard College and an MBA and Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University.
