Ed Roggenkamp is a Senior Associate in the Environmental practice at Schiff Hardin, LLP. He is an experienced litigator in the areas of hazardous waste, clean air, and wetlands law. He has experience with environmental permitting and compliance counseling at operating and proposed power plants and industrial facilities, including both traditional fossil-fuel fired generation and renewable energy projects, and has significant experience with the development of offshore wind on the East Coast of the United States. Ed also has extensive familiarity with state and local efforts to encourage renewable energy development, reduce carbon emissions, and address the threat of climate change. Prior to joining Schiff Hardin in 2017, Ed spent six years at Sive, Paget and Riesel P.C., an environmental boutique law firm and a recognized leader in environmental law and litigation, and completed a one-year fellowship at the Environmental Law and Policy Center, where he focused on citizen-suit litigation against coal mining in the Illinois basin and state-level policies relating to renewable portfolio standards.
