Counsel, House Energy and Commerce Committee
Bijan Koohmaraie serves as Counsel for the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Energy and Commerce and works on policy issues that arise under the jurisdiction of the Digital Commerce and Consumer Protection Subcommittee. As Counsel to the Committee, Bijan manages a policy portfolio that includes oversight of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and related issues such as the corporate average fuel economy program, motor vehicle safety and recalls, and self-driving vehicle technology. Prior to joining the Committee, Bijan served as an Assistant Attorney General for the Nebraska Attorney General’s Office where he focused on constitutional claims and consumer protection issues.
